I was grateful as she eventually found a seat and I was so relieved.

This is the kinda great services we get from SQ. Cheers SQ!

Business trip aka "private delivery" trip to KL

Just came to KL this morning to submit a tender document. Sounds like a business trip but look more like a "private delivery" trip.

Arrived at T2 for a MAS flight @ 0950. To my surprised, it was re-timed to 1200. I was shocked! I confronted the counter staff and was told that the plane was changed hence the number of seats decreased. Hence this flight is re-timed..

I wasn't very happy with it and demanded a solution. Saying I need to reach there before lunch for a meeting. The staff couldn't do anything saying that they could change me over to SQ but the next flight (1015hrs) is full too. I couldn't care and ask her to request a seat dr me in SQ. She directed me to SQ counter and to put myself in the standby list. It seems like the best solution at this moment but I felt I will be hanging around in T2 till noon.

Surprisingly, when I approached a staff in SQ, this lady mentioned that it will be tough to get a seat as it's full but will try for me.

"Tang Dian Wang" @ Suntec

Blogging @ this Shanghai rest in suntec.

Ordered the spring onion hainanese chicken, tofu with "bak kwa", "Hong yu chao shou" and vintage fried bee hoon. Ordered the bee hoon coz josh was caving for it in the morning n we missed breakfast.

In the rest~, it's pretty cost coz it's in a dimly litted cool orange theme. Looks rather comfy and inviting.

Food wise, it's just above the 'ok' mark. Most of the time Its because it's quality is much better rather then the taste. Especially the Ginger sauce or the chicken. It's light yet u can taste the full flavour of the Ginger.

Desserts we had red ruby with melon and steam egg. The melon was sweet n the soup was cooling n subtly sweet. But the red ruby was shattered n the chestnut is seperated from the 'reds'. Steam egg was so so... I guessed the Chinatown one is much better.

Maybe could try the dim sum next time.

Dmg done $50 for the two of us...

Golden sands part 4

This pork trotter really stun us when it came. Jus three of us eating, the girl recommend such a heavy weight dish!

But the "wowed" factor carried through the time we put it in our mouth. The "leg" was so tender n soft that much of it melts in ur mouth. Not the huge chunk of meat that I cut out at the same time loh. (pig pig one) :) the sauce is not like those "loh der ka" type so some might be dissappointed. The sauce is wet n diluted, more like a soup to me. But salty la... I like...

Overall, not that kind of "Zhi Char" I was looking for but it the get together that is more worth while. Hopefully can arrange more such outing again.

Golden sands part 3

Wel, like the look of it, this looks like fried duck. Although they have some fancy name as usual but it taste just like wat I named it. LOL.

Nothing special like the previous, but as a duck lover, it is not the bad. It's not those "fried until dry dry" type. But rather wet on the inside. Though I felt if some special sauce over it will raised the flavour so much more!

Golden sands part 2

This is the "Jin Zhi Yu Ye" on the menu. Basically it's "Chye Sim" boiled with fried seaweed on top. Then with some oyster sauce.

More like a novelty to me, coz it sounds nice, looks nice but taste just like "Chye Sim". Unless u are looking for novelty like me for a first time try n probably blogging, I dun recommend trying.

Golden sands @ Ang Mo Kio part 1

YyyUtryetA very impromptu meeting with my old time poly friend leads to a wild dinner at this small coffee shop ien Ang Mo Kio. Of course I dun any how choose la. It is after reading some review from makansutra and some foodie blogs.

If I didn't remember wrongly, the address is 215 Ang Mo Kio at 22.

First we order is this huge plate of crab. Was quite "gianing" for crab since I returned from offshore. Since the websites says the crabs here were good so I try loh.

Well, I think I am not dissappointed with this coz it looks good. Taste well n the crabs were meaty.

Next up "Jin Zhi Yu Ye"

New MRT feature!

Actually I am sqeezing my way in this MRT when I notice this feature.
There is this panel showing the stations map right on top or the door. But instead of a normal map, this time there are led on every station. Indicating which stop your are now and also the route of the train. Very much luke the train feature I saw previously in France. I guessed it's a good feature and now there won't be any excuse of taking the wrong direction train and getting late!
Cool!

Anyway, I might e rather "sua ku" coz it's really been a while since I last step food on singapore. :)

Anyway some photos of the feast me and my old time polymates had at Ang Mo Kio St 22 next time!
