Gotta to clear my postings...

With friends complaining of me not finishing up my postings and not putting up posts that i mentioned in previous posts. I shall try to overcome that by posting almost everytime i am free.

Next in line should be PF's Bdae since its the next photo tat appeared in my N95 photo album. I am also concurrently posting my jap postings in my shutterfly web album. That one is not a easy task as i need to compile three Dcam photos and sort them out in order of appearance. So pls bear with it.

back to PF party.

Venue: Turf Club Ah Yat Seafood

We met at Turf club Ah Yat seafood restuarant.

Over here i choose ur "live" seafood from these tanks and u will weight them before bring it to your restuarant and indentify wat style u wanna cook and enjoy ur food.

As we were here for the 50% discount and the snow crab. And shown above is our B-dae girl, PF.

This is the crab we ordered. Its span is bigger then my waist! lol

After selecting ur food, u will weight them here.

This is our damage done, even with the 50% discount. The Snow crab already cost us $150 after discount, the prawn is $26 and the huge oyster we got is 30 for 7 of them.

The very ex fish we got is this Extra "dong xin ban" which is supposed to be very very nice. And EXTRA expensive too...

This is one of the style to cook the crab

We ordered the oyster to be cooked this way.

We ordered the prawns to be cooked as drunken prawns. But didnt get to see them drunk the live prawns. And the soup taste very herbal.

Check out these oysters...

See they are as huge as JH fist!!!

Inside is creamy cheese sauce with, kinda overwhelmed the oyster flavour. Definately not more then two servings.

The first half of the crab, we ordered the crab to be cooked in two style. This one is the steam one. Wat can i say? Its simplily "heaven..."

Look at the meat from the leg... Its very sweet for a crab, so sweet that u might tot there is msg added. But i am pretty sure it is not the case.

So this is the legendary "CrabStick" or rather the real crab stick. Mmm... Yummy...

The other half which we wanted it to be cooked in black pepper. U pay a bit more i guess $5 or 15 to spilt the cooking. But the black pepper is not spicky enough, no kick!

But the black pepper enters the inside of the leg.

End result? Black pepper legs snow crab. Still good, coz of the crab used, but the steam one is definately better. Orginal taste rocks!

Here comes the EXPENSIVE fish!!!

Wah really live up to its expensive taste leh... Juicy n chewy meat. Though we got a bit tussle with the waiteress ther coz she was telling us then we should spilt up n cook better. I say we want only steam. Then she gave us a remark that if steam the whole fish the centre would not be well cooked!!! Where got restuarant say like tat one? I was pretty annoyed about it n made a big fuss out of it. Then the lady even dare to say if wanna cook the whole fish, then maybe the meat will be tough on the outside... This really make my blood boil... We paid over 100bucks for this fish and u tell us u dun know how to cook well. WTF? In the end i jus tell her off, they better cook up a good fish if not i am going to tell all my friends about this n nvr visit the restuarant again! Lol. guess that made the waiteress a bit scared n lucky for them, the fish was well prepared and we truely enjoyed the whole fish.

Deserts, we had "She Cup" not sure of the eng name. But they are lousy...

In the end, total damage - SGD$499.85 My most expensive seafood meal. Not to say those that my dad bring me la. :)

To conclude, the experience was good. Food were good. If we didnt eat the snow crab n fish i guess it would be a relative al right price meal. 50% discount seems good. Maybe should go again to eat the other food. Smaller oysters to eat fresh looks cheap too. Definately not those big ones we ate. Many other fish available, I guess they would be jus as good fresh. Deserts can throw away la. They were lousy. Look upon the next dining here. :)

Back to previous posts...

Okay, my last posted ended on our adventure to dawn in the class.

So it was a fullfilling day, since we managed to really complete our stuffs that night n got some rest. In some form or another. lol. Should hav taken the photos of janice n melissa sleeping then. They were sleeping seated down with thier face on the table. But i wasnt gonna care much, so i laid on a table with one huge book covered with my towel as my pillow. In the end i got some good rest. lol.

After that we went out to grab breakfast. n we went all the way to Jurong West St 51 to eat. I recommended them to try the chicken porridge n they love it. Look at thier faces!!!

The two babes with their breakfast!

Melissa was jus shocked to see such delicious food...

The "Yu Sheng" which inspired me to make the "yu sheng" on Chinese new year with the yuppies.

The "Lao Mu Ji" chicken shich wasnt really tat old. lol

Then plain porridge.

Here's the stall and its name.

Lunch and advices from Ronnie n Sean

Met Sean and Ronnie for lunch hours ago.
Was thinking of trying out the new shirt and the fantastic brown shoes that i got for the interview on thurs. Got them at the Robinsons sale @ EXPO. Feel that i got quite a good bargain for the shirts and shoes. Jus tat i couldnt find a matching pants. Maybe that explains y i couldnt wear it out today to show sean coz there is no matching pants to go with the shirt and shoes. Turn out i wore my black pants n black shoes to match the shirt, n it wasnt that nice.

We went to Shokudo for lunch, like i jus said, its japanese marche. Guess lotsa people would know that then. U take ur card around to buy food. For every food u pick up, u scan ur card n pay only at the exit. Food is like... Mmm, see for urself ba. Hopefully my New FUJI F100FD is good enough.

Divert a bit since i am waiting for the photos to load from the SD card.
--------------------------------------------------
Oh, i got my new Digi cam. Its the FUJI f100fd as memtioned above. Its was pretty highly recommended in some digital cameras review, like http://www.dpreview.com/news/0801/08012407fujif100fd.asp and Josh was telling me all the good stuffs about the cam.

Well guess i am pretty to lazy to type out all features, might as well copy it. lol

Well, a bit too much on the cam le, maybe some photos will convince u all.
P.s. i still not very sure with the modes, so some photos may turn out not as good.

Didnt take much photos coz we were all pretty hungry. lol.

Grill pork

Tempura assorted

Grilled mushrooms, bacon with quails eggs and bacon with prawn. The bacon with quail eggs looks like, eh... leave it to ur imagination ba.

Grilled chicken katsu don with egg that i had.

Potato Rosti with bacon.

Well, in general i feel there is not much special about the food here. Taste wise its jus like any nearby jap restuarant standard food. Though the rosti dun really lok jap to me. :) They do hav Emu rice and Jap Pizza which we missed out. They do look nice to me. But i guess the taste is the same. aka, the "so-so standard" nothing to wow about. Oh, maybe the setting and style ba, where u walk around with ur card n pay only at the end of the day.

More pic from my New cam coming right up.

Anyway, the lunch we had was followed by some shopping where i got myself two shirts and two ties. Got to thank Sean and Ronnie for guiding me on wat to wear and esp to Ronnie for the two ties. :)

After much spending, which the two of them end up buying more shirts too. lol, we went to Mos Burger for some drinks. Where ronnie was teaching me more about dressing and workind stuffs. Its really quite some info for me since i haben been in the "real world" working industry before since my attachments. Hopefully all these will help me in my interview on thurs, and to my future.

Need to sit down and think about my future and my focus...
Mmm... tough decisions to make...

Well, before that, i still can try to post more pics n blogs here.
So stay tuned!

Have you ever...

Hey guys, gotta be a boring post here, so dun read if u are not in the mood.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As i was driving back home jus now, i kept on having this feeling.
Then i started to think, why am i feeling this way?
***
I dun hav the answer...
***
Then I recalled this song that i heard before by Westlife, "Have you ever..."

< Have you ever loved somebody so much
It makes you cry
Have you ever needed something so bad
You can’t sleep at night
Have you ever tried to find the words
But they don’t come out right
Have you ever have you ever >

Sometimes there is jus no words to describe ur feelings...
At one point of time, i was asking myself, why am i thinking this way. Then cant answer... Then i started to get angry with myself, angry tat i dun know why like tat. Then start to lauf, lauf at my own stupidity. Funny hor... "machiam a typical Gemini way of doing things - sometimes there is jus another guy inside u trying to force u to do things, but u dun know how, wat, why u did it..."

Somehow or rather, this songs jus suits my emo now.
All the questions in the world, but there is jus no answer. Jus like in the song.

Food Journey...

Dear friends, after a long n tedious run n exams n food n FYP n fun n Vivas n Enjoy, i finally had a chance to pen my stuffs. Sorry that most of the posts are dated as long as early May. :) But i get to see the pics right?!? Dun drool too much. Get ready a bucket to hold ur saliva. *EviL GriNz*

Today's food journey:
Bukit timah - Sfigato pizza and pasta
Upper East Coast Road - Chai Chee Bak Chor Mee n 师奶茶餐厅
Bukit timah again - Bukit Timah FC satay, fish soup, chicken and beer. wahahaha

First Up, Big lunch @ SPGG. (03-05-08) Was lookin g for pasta delivery and chanced upon this web page. http://www.sfigato-pizza.com/.

Look like a decent restuarant with stuffs like carbonara and seafood pasta and pizza. So we all agreed and made the order. It was early morning when we planned this so we tasked them to delivery at 12 noon to SPGG. The guy came right on time n but we were busy with our work and was waiting for xiaomei to join us before we all eat together. (though Melissa was growling in hunger). Jus went xiaomei came, we all rush to our "lunch table" and get ready for feast!!!

This is wat we ordered with the botak jones caun chicken for xiaomei.

First this is the Sfigato special i think. The asparagus overwhelmed the whole dish. Some more the pasta is very lightly salted. Means we only tasted the asparagus. End up salvaging the chicken bits and mushroom n throw away almost more then half of the pasta.

Seafood pasta which is also the looks most valuable one. Though with not so fresh prawns and clams. The sauce was tomato based, but with no tomato flavour. Guess the wait made the spag sucked up all the sauce but the spag wasnt really tasty. So guess the sauce was not so good after all...

The carbonara and the baked pasta. Carbonara got no cream taste. n the baked pasta got no cheese taste. Need me say more? ---> LOUSY!

The miserable lasagne, notice the box siz and the cheese. The total height of the whole thing is merely one cm. Maybe they forgot the lasagne inside n packed the top part with the cheese only.

Luckily we ordered the chicken sausage from botak jones. Ohh... they are nice!

And the pork sausage. If not we will be so hungry... Oh they are nice too! but salty. lol but then, most sausage are salty ones. :)

The pizza which was eh... Noe so bad ba. looks lite crust but not so thin n not so tasty. the topping were supposed to be pretty powerful but eh... guess they we on a budget ba. :(

Some time later the week, went to siglap to eat late supper with josh. Imagine two pigs hungrily seeking for food, end up we had lots tat day. First stop, Chai Chee bak chor mee at siglap. beside "Shi nai" HK tea cafe.

Like the bar chor mee here. where the noodles are tender n soggy. * my fav* and there are lots of "liao" <---- ingredients. the other oen which i like was from West Coast actually. But after a bad "lao sai" incident after eating from that stall, i hav since stop eating le. Also had the dumpling soup which was pretty salty i feel. but the stuffings were succelent. Some more got minced meat floating around the dumplings. Wah....

After that we walked into "Shi Nai" HK tea cafe one. *GriNz* how can one bowl of noodles satisfy two hungry pigs. end up we ate the Macau beef baked rice which was nice coz the beef inside was juicy n tender. The generous serving of cheese and curry sauce also goes well together, covering almost the whole plate.

Still in the craze of eating maggi noodles, i ordered the "Ting mian" with chicken in some sauce. All is nice n the chicken is well done. No complains here jus another satisfying meal. Yum!

Next, let got back to SPGG for another crazy lunch by food from Bukit Timah FC.

Guess this is how many persons portions..... 3! lol
Was looking for fish soup end up buying not only fish soup n got back with chicken wings and satays and oyster omelette.
We were planning a overnight stay in class coz we had to ruch our FYP. so we got lotsa food coz we are actually not supposed to be around one, so we had to stuff ourselves with lotsa food before our quest to stay up whole night to complete the FYP.

The oyster omelette was oily but yet nice. good portion of tapioca flour makes the omelette not so sticky n with tanginess.

Nice satay from bukit timah. Love the pork ones where the oil is slightly charred.

Chicken wings are jus normal. My fav is still the one at pasir panjang FC one. Only sold in the evening where the "peng kang" fish n seafood starts selling. And the beer aunties start to come out too... lol

The fish soup. This one is the one on the right of the steps up to the FC. Its the more popular one i guess, from the number of people on the list. I order the more ex fish n the portion was little. (tat explains the plain pic on top) But the fish was fresh n firm. soup was a bit less salty as compared to the other. My choice still coz of the good fish used n the not so salty soup. Need to eat healthy liao. wahahaha

The other fish soup near the very nice wantan mee stall. Sigificant more fish then the famous one. Fish used was the typical batam fish. Fresh but a bit rough texture. Soup was salty but only to my level of preference. (Coz i eat pretty salty one) So other should find it even more salty. Cheap n good portion makes it pretty worth while to buy now n then.

Ok that shall end my morning blogging today.
more to come;

JW st 51 FC chicken porridge and raw fish.
Loh Mee from dun know where, jus got the pic.
Ah Yat Seafood @ Turf City (PF's Bday Gathering).
Obar @ Md Sultan with class.
Mother's day @ RSVP park hotel.
Swiss german sausage bar @ Taka.
Class end of course dinner @ Tiffany Cafe at Furama Hotel City Centre

Westrern Food Craze

Had been in a western food craze... Before i had Clementi "Tanglin Halt" (supposely) famous chicken chop with was a total fark up meal. Then it was the Clementi Ave 2 one which is currently my fav. More pics the next time i blog. That one, the Chicken is well prepared, thick n juicy. Their sauce is also great to go with the chicken. The chicken is nice marinated too. The other time i went BBQ at WC park is ordered there one loh.

As for this one, its at old airport road hawker centre. If i am not wrong, the stall is 01-53. Called Western Barbeque. Ordered the mix grill at $7 which i feel its quite a big portion. The unique thing here is the garlicy sauce over the pork chop. Its sweet n very garlicy. I was surprised that josh, a garlic lover, would say he dun like. He said that is a bit to sweet for him, both the garlic n the sauce were sweety stuffs. I would say its a aquried taste ba. Maybe not appealing to all people. The chicken was nicly done, same thick n juicy meat from clementi. Can fight! But this one goes without sauce. The pork chop on the other hand was heavily mashed. I think the owner smash'em hard with the hammer with lotsa pricks. Think maybe he "du lan" with the pig thats why. lol. End up the meat was quite tough. Maybe cooked to long over the grill too. The mutton was pretty tough too for me. would like to have them more tenderer. On the whole, its a huge meal. Lucky i was very hungry, travell all the wway from jur west to grab this n back. Yes thats how crazy i was yesterday. :)

Well, still will got there if i craving for western food ba.

Western Barbeque, Old Airport Road Hawker Centre. #01-53

The other Stuffit chicken~

Well, in case u all were thinking wat happen to the last stuffit chicken that we didnt finish it the other day.
Here it is!

Stufit Chicken with buttered rice.

Well, after eating this, i would still say tat the braised was the best of the lot. This one is a bit drier. Maybe because it was toasted again the next day by big bear. But i didnt like the rasins n peanuts inside too. I was thinking if it was cashew nuts it would taste better. Suddenly i tot of the pineapple rice that i cooked the other day. Maybe it would be a good stuffing too. :)
