Back dated post, Marche revisited~ x 3

yes i went back to Marche again on sunday. Ha, think i couldnt get over the drinks there. As usual we drank the Wiessbier. 0.5L. i also ordered 6 oysters. They look pretty nice as i saw one of them cracking the shell. I actually wanted to order 2 only. Then the staff says so little... so i raised the stake to 4, then the staff physco me to buy half a dozen. So i pretty much gave in... But i think i didnt make a wrong choice since they really taste good! They go exp well with the beer. (ah....)

Well, besides that we had Tenderloin, crepe with chicken, Calamari, Cross buns x 2, chicken wings, a small bowl of mixed vege.


The tenderlion was wraped with bacon. So it taste slightly salty. But its pretty small portion for a piece of steak. I tot the tenderloin was the cheaper one... Next time take the sirloin or ribeye better...


Not that bad, but i fine its a bit soggy.


Well, this time the calamari batter taste a bit bland n dry. Next time will try the prawns. Looks nice.


The chicken wings taste like... Chicken wings. Not really "deeply" marinated. But i got a deal of buy one get one free. lol


Well, how can all these go without a glass of good beer? Or rather a few glasses of beer, Since i got a glass of Wiessbier, and another two bottles of wiessbeer gunkel. Which is actually wiessbier brown version. More sweet i feel. Gonna drink this next time.:)

Jus read my blog n found out there was so much mistakes! I think i wasnt in the real "clear" state to write ba. So i made a few admendments.

Eventful weekend,, real eventful man...

(Isn't it frustrating when some1 u think will understand u, dun understand u?)

Well, besides that i kinda enjoyed my day today.

Workin in the morning to around 2 is pretty normal, eventually i am gonna be busy over the weekends with work. So if u wanna jio me out for something, better not be a weekend. Got home for some DOTA. Man, i miss DOTA man... After an hour of gaming, i set off to pick up josh n we went to arjunied (Guan Xiang Tai) to buy some mooncake stuffs.

Apparant GXT sells lotsa mooncakes stuff n they have lotsa filling for mooncakes. "Ba Yue Shi Wu" seems to be round the corner, or rather next tues i think. So almost everywhere is selling mooncakes. they have some unique fillings like red wine, pomelo, chestnuts n sakura etc. In the end we settled for red wine filling. Its kinda sweet with a slight fermented grape flavour. I think that makes the red wine taste ba.

walked out n notice jus opposite there was a small stall selling fresh "Fu Zhou" fishballs. Sat down n had a bowl. The fish paste is kinda soggy to me n the fillings wasn't really outstand. But its kinda long time since my family had "Fu Zhou" fishball. Hence i got 10 of them after that n got 10 meat balls too. :)

went to orchard after. Wanted to go Taka to see if there is any new mooncakes stuffs there. end up its pretty much the same. Saved for some new mooncakes with choco truffles with liquer taste inside. The last time i was at jur point n i got 2 champange mooncakes with choco. So its not really new to me. The yam paste fried mooncake is still as light n not-so-sweet as last year. Notice there were more people selling yam paste fried mooncakes. They r pretty nice to eat. Cheap too. but they dun last, I think maximum storage is three days ba. :)

After sampling the mooncakes, we went to eat some proper food. Pasta! Cant rem the name of the resturant. But i like the japanese baby scallops pasta with seaweed. Check the photos.



The scallops are actually pretty big!


The clams are cooked in a real nice soup fried with shallots. Love it!


The scallop baked rice is ok tasting. Since i dun really like tomato paste. I love white cream sauces! But the scallop is much more bigger!

OMG,,,, my third cup of tequila kicking into my brain cells liao. lol.

After we went to watch (I now prounced u chuck n jarry.) pretty funny show.

Sorry that i have been a bit personal on my blog these days. Maybe is because i was a bit tipsy when i wrote those. Or maybe its because i wrote them in the wee hours just when my mind starts to knock off n sleep. Then again... Isn't today another of those tipsy n late night posts??? Er... Well, i think i better dun explain that... Yes, i think there are some things that are n will not be explainable....

Seems that someone new to the blog have commented that my blog is getting a bit different from wat i always write. Actually, its kinda a new friend. :) Oh... think i leaked too much. Sorry though, no point going back my blog to see if who commented it. Its actually some insider who told me it. lol. Yes its you! So i hope that i will be sober enough to write anotehr foody stuff on my blog tonight.

Well, the first pic i got there was the pic of the 0.5L warstenier beer. Its a slightly bitter clear beer. Well, i would say not the common favourites since nowadays people prefer smooooth beer, like carlsberg. Well i think the smoother beer i have drank before *insert, i dun drink that much. Wahaha* would be the wisshier beer. Hang on... Let me insert a photo of the beer, UPSIZED. Ok, gotta wait for the photo to load into the server.

Oh, did i memtioned today we went to MArche again? Err... i think i should adress it as yesterday night. Actually i kinda suggested it since i couldnt forget the great beer that i had the day before. N coincidentally we are watching 'No Reservations' at Vivo, i say why not? And this time sean joined us too. Well we had a wonderful meal. *insert meal "jia ji puar (in hokkien)" photo.


Er... I was there on time to stop them from eating before i tot the photos. Well, u cant help when u have 2 x bears n a ... Mmm... hungrier dinosar on the table.

Ok, so this time we had....
-Pork knucle (well its a great food n i am sure they loved it except xiaomei who i accidentally serve her a piece of fatty meat n made her er... 'dun like the food')
-Grilled salmon (er i feels its a bit fishy ba)
-Calamari x 2 (Since i ordered and got the food immediately n big bear who ordered before me didnt get it untill i got mine)
-Mushrooms stir-fry (nice one)
-Mushroom soup, thick thick ones... (The curtons jus too soaked for the soup. N it would be better if its warmer.)
-Pasta with pine nuts? (Err... i would still love my carbonara, which they dun serve here.)
-Chicken breast with saugauges (Apparantly i didnt order this n i jus tasted it, i assume its wat the dish is ba.)
-I think big bear had rosti - Pototo cooked in a pan-cake way (Not my cup of tea hence i nvr tough close.)
-1.0L of Weisshier beer (The huge cup, need me to explain more?)
-0.3L of Warstenier beer (The bitter one...)
-Sean had some calamansi stuff, i think its got sour plums inside, that i didnt tough at all.
-2 x cross bread which i love it. Check the previous post for pictures. (This time i got the choco cream one too, since xiaomei like choco. but its not as good as the creamcheese.
-1 x Pizza fresh from the oven. I think if its not from the oven straight, i wouldnt haved ordered. oh we did the pizza toast. I think suggested by sean. Mind u, the pizza is hot from the oven, n its pipping hot on our hands. lol. Must quickly snap n eat em.




Well, after drinking almost more then half of the beer, n another 0.3L mug, i am almost super full le.

Ratatouille the 2nd

yes, I went to see the rat show again. This time with Josh. we were @ Vivocity GV max. The screen was huge! But there were so few people around. End up we were pretty much freezing inside. lol. This time the show is in 2K digital format. Guess there is more details inside. I did notice that there are a few extended parts inside. So i guess next time i am gonna watch digital shows instead! I think there are at least 10 mins extention coz i dun remember we didnt took 2 hrs to watch the show.

Well after the show, we were real hungry, hence we went to marche to eat. *darn... jus split half a bottle of hoegarden beer while i was tryin to change position to do this typing in the dark. Back to topic. It was my first time inside this restuarant @ Vivo. It looked pretty welcoming, with all the food lying there. :) end up we ate quite a bit. We had... pork knuckle for starters, coz the moment we walked in we saw this couple eating it. n it looks nice. So we were actually looking for it. lol. We also have a plate of seafood paella, lamb shoulder, and plum pie. I also drank two big cups of beer. think the name is warsteiner n weisshier beer. The weisshier was acutally the smoothest beer i drank before. Or maybe its also the lightest ba. U dun feel like drinking beer, untill u feel the warmth in ur tummy. it is also slightly sweet i should say not much malty taste.

End up drinking this two beer is not enough for me. lol Back home n drinking again... Mmm now i think hoegarden is not that smooth anymore,.... lol,

think i getting drowsy le. tired. Think i better let the beer control me afrter, n let loose ba.

Congrats my dear big bear n xiaomei!

Yes the big day has finally ended. With big bear n xiaomei happily checking in to shangri la hotel tonight, and me feeling pretty low at this point of time. Actually its been a real long day for me too, coz i haben been sleeping since i booked in to my ICT on friday morning!! My brain is quite dead already but some how or rather my soul or emotions is running in n i feel like penning doen my thoughts, though is actually 1am already... Since currently i couldnt find a good listening ear to listen to such stuffs...

Well... it all happens from the time the two sweet couple meet each other at xiaomei's place after we "finish the sabotage stuffs" Yes the route to get the bride was tough. insert - wearing the paper underwear with permernant red ink that stained my white shirt, to drinking the bitter gourd drink that is totally disgusting!!!!* Actually i was very very happy to see both of them together, seeing both of them dressed so nicely, how both of them go through the church ceremony, "tea ceromony" n lastly the wedding dinner. As this happiness overwhelmed me, another sour part of me was developing. To a stage that i felt like crying, yes crying. *insert i'm pretty much a cry baby, coz shows like 881 will make me shed a tear or two for the touching scenes. Then i was puzzled coz i was thinking y would i feel like crying? is it crying for joy? Then i felt its not like tat leh... Maybe its envy ba, coz seeing these two cute bears bringing so much happiness to people, while i couldnt. I was pretty much attached to them too, so it seems like literally my xiaomei was marrying off to big bear n my big bear was marrying off to xiaomei. So its seems pretty much sad in such a manner. Throughout the dinner i was thinking about this, to a stage that i didnt have much appetite to eat the delicious food on the table.

Well, i think i was only at the end of the dinner that i understand wats it is all about. When the whole dinner have ended and we were about to walk out of the ball room to shack hands with them, i saw xiaomei n all i wanna is a hug. Yes, a big hug. From that i found that i have done my part liao. Doing wat ever i could do to help these two bears got thru their biggest day in their life. Wat i have gone thru is appreciated. I am done.

Actvites in the night before.

Since last night, or rather friday night, since its 1 am now, last night seems to be the dinner time. So i was with big bear all the while. Trying to make sure his wedding goes smoothly, Coz i am the Bestman. Horoured in some ways, irritated in many other ways is how i wanna say. This bear of mine, simiply couldnt plan well n neither is he "hyper" about his wedding. Some how or rather i feel that they prefer to do it by the "play by ear" way. so things come in, plan. Things haben think of, put one side first. So much until closing to the end of the day there was still much to do. So we meet on the night before. Yes we were suppose to meet at 8pm. But seems that the other brothers have their own commitments, i was alone there. before that i bought breakfast for all of us to eat before setting out. I was worried we will be hungry then. Turn out that none of us thought of this... When i reach his place, He relatives were there too. A lot of them, So being pretty out of place, i stayed in the room. BORED... Untill around 12 then the bros start coming. i was briefing them wat to do on in the morning. How to go about getting the doors open. When we were done, we realised that big bear dun have a belt. End up we went all the way to MUstafa to get one. But... only to realised that we got a belt to big for him... Seems tat the pants he have is pretty tight n the belt's last hole was too loose then. lol.

I think this will carry on to no end so maybe i should write them another day when i am sober...

Its been a real long time since i last post.
Lotsa update on my life.
Recents happenings like, BKK trip n My new lappy - "Marksman"

Lots of things to talk about in BKK. Since i m not at home with my photos, i think its better for me to talk about my new lappy ba.

"Marksman" - Many would have ask, why this name? Well, mainly its because my other two classmate of mine happen to name thiers lappy "Bobo" n "shooter". So i fine that "Marksman" totally fits to the gang. :) Not to say that i was really a "Marksman" before and took part in the SAF shooting competition. (SAFISAM) *wahahaha

So "Marksman" is a tablet pc from HP. Model tx1222au. Its a budget pc. Costing me SGD$1499, i feel its a steal. *yeah! Running on a AMD Turion X64 1.9Ghz with 1GB ram n 160GB HDD. With Geforce 6150 graphics card n DVD lightscribe tech drive. Remote control, sd card reader, Blue tooth, WIFI n most of the standard stuffs u get from a com. The term tablet PC means u can swirl the screen around to make it look like a note book.

So far i tested the features, the calibrations is pretty good. i can use the lappy as a notebook n write.

haben use much of the other features. I watched DVD before and the sound is loud. the remote is interesting.

It work well with my wireless mouse from logitech. Playing DOTA is alright. Though it geats a bit laggy if i max the settings.

It comes with microsoft 2007 60 usage trial. So far its fun to use n i maybe thinking of getting it n share with my friends.

Mmm.. That about all i think. Oh, wait! i should post some photos. Mmm... I shall take them now. lol





Now i shall attempt to use the table pc format to write this blog. seems that it is pretty friendly! Though it took maybe three times longer then typing. lol

think I shold go liao. Gotta help big bear with his wedding Stuffs again, hey! I an getting the hang of this! It really is pretty Cool!
