The perception personality image test

Picked this up from an entry by Josh in facebook.

Turned out my personality is the direct opposite of his!!! lol

Your result for The Perception Personality Image Test...

HFPS - The Humanitarian

Humanity, Foreground, Big Picture, and Shape

You perceive the world with particular attention to humanity. You focus on what's in front of you (the foreground) and how that fits into the larger picture. You are also particularly drawn towards the shapes around you. Because of the value you place on humanity, you tend to seek out other people and get energized by being around others. You like to deal directly with whatever comes your way without dealing with speculating possibilities or outcomes you can't control. You are in tune with all that is around you and understand your life as part of a larger whole. You prefer a structured environment within which to live and you like things to be predictable.

The Perception Personality Image Test

Cruise to nowhere, Su Tu Vang Oilfield.

Had my first flight on a HELICOPTOR! It a super puma L2 if u guys know wat is it. :P

Didnt hav a chance to take a photo of it coz i was pretty freak out at the airport. It is because my luggage was more then 25kgs excluding my backpak! I printed lotsa notes on the procedures and had my coveralls, safety boots and tools with me. Surely it is heavy! I jus got news from the client that the limit was only 15kgs... i was pretty worried the whole morning as i didnt want to get into any trouble. Turn out, it was pretty alright, because my total baggage weight was 32kg... lol didnt want to look at the guy at the weighing scale as i was worried he will tell me to take out my stuffs. The guys did not allow us to carry any hp or stuffs, hence i didnt hav a chance to take a photo...

After the excitement, its a 1.5hrs long, boring ride. Nothing much to see as we reach the ocean. We can only see the clear blue seas from there. The seats were very small too. I guessed the "ang mo" owner rep from CUULONG, had an uncomfortable ride throughout. lol.

Once we reach the site, I could see lotsa vessel around the field. We stopped by another vessel before alighting at our barge.

It took us quite a while on the bridge (The navigation room at the top of the ship/barge) coz our rooms were not prepared and assigned. Took them almost 1hr to get the room ready and it was a tiny room! And i had to share with the ABS surveyor... I made a request to the project officer and managed to get ourself in a 4men room at least and which was much much comfortable. Maybe i will take photos later. :)

About the work here, everything was pretty smooth sailing albeit there was some minor gliches with the ROV which allow us to have our meals inbetween. (Guessed ROV need to eat too huh? lol). Anyway, meals on board are great! We had a good spread of stuffs from beefsteaks to fish n chips to HUGE porkchops to braised duck to curry chicken, jus to name a few. :)

Anyway, its been good life here. We dun need to wash our clothes as there is laundry service, we dun need to make our beds too as there is room service too. lol.
But i have to be up at wee hours to inspect some installations. So far, there have been 3-4 hrs sleeps in between which is not that bad. Last night i was up from 2am to 4. For the installation of the pile. Then i waited till 5 to eat breakfast before i hit the bed an d woke up at 10. Although its sunday here, but everyone still have to work. The people work on shifts here and since there is only one rep from my com, i have to be up every now and then n i need to catch sleep when ever i can.

Luckily there is internet connection here. At a dead slow speed though. Now trying to set up VOIP calls. Hope it works...

Vung Town tour

Had an early breakfast as i woke up damn early. Tot its 8 already but its only 7am. So i was in the resturant by 7.30am

Breakfast was alright, nothing fancyful, nothing specticular. Got fried rice, chicken, ham, sausage, eggs, cereals, blar blar. The got dragonfruit juice which is interesting but not much taste. Had quite a heavy breakfast before i went out to take a walk.

Took some photos along the way, while i was strolling along the beach. This is the commercial side of the beach. There is another side of the beach which is more popular. But i didnt go there.

This is the ferry terminal in Vung Tau. Looks pretty futuristic but its lousy inside. lol

This is the hotel i am staying loh. :)

After about 1.5 hr of walk, i recieved a call from my client, jioing me to breakfast with another client. So i hurried back to the hotel, quick shower and join the guy to another place.

Waited for almost 2hrs before we went out for breakfast again for me, as the client was busy replying mails....

2nd Breakfast was Beef glass noodles in soup. Not that fantastic again. but we had some unique coffee. The coffee is filter thru a small tin cup on top of ur glass. N the coffee is very fragrant.

My client took me a round to some tourist attrraction before going back to the hotel together. I took a shower n was out again. Took a cab to the Jesus structure. See pictures below. Its a huge structure where u can climb to the top n enjoy a great view. But the climb is really tiring... By one third of the steps, i already panting. lol poor stamina. But i felt the climb was worth it as the view is fantastic!

Look at how far the structure is...

Somewhere in the foot of the mountain.

Closing in!

This is how the interior looks like.

Cool breeze at the top! Fantastic views of the city.

Check out the small hole that was made! I think if WF is coming up, maybe he will be stuck. lol (joking la WF) :P

Got down the structure, took the cab to a shopping mall. Small one with little stuffs to shop around. End up getting KFC for my supper where i ordered room service from the hotel. lol
This is wat i ordered. :P

The super tough "medium" doneness beef steak which i should say, taste good but the meat is jus rubber...

Lousy KFC @ 11pm, which comprises of the lousy hot wings, the lousy fish fillet and the lousy chicken meat. I actually didnt finish them all... That how lousy it is.

SGP - Viet (Ho Chi Minh) - Viet (Vung Tau) - SMIT BORNEO

This is the barge i am gonna stay for the nest few days, "SMIT BORNEO". Skipped lunch to survey the barge and end up by 5.30pm, the time it is due to sail, the work is not yet completed. End up i have to acc the barge out to the sea to inspect the work before approving the sail away of the barge.

Here are some photos of the barge.

There is cats on board the barge. lol guessed they are in for a trip to nowhere.

Took them one whole night to get the job done. In between, they still wanna smoke their way thru by fixing up the lashings with unapproved methods. I was quick to catch them doing it and reported back to the office and double checking if the method was allowed. So i walked over to th person incharge and wisper to the guy in charge, "I hope tat is not the way u are going to lash the equipment coz it not approved by our standards." I was expecting him to give me some explanations. but he jus shout across the worker to tell them to stop working, " Hey, stop working! Rejected by insurance party!" U should be there to see the faces of the workers then! All turning around and look at me, giving me the "wat the hell" look. i was pretty worried coz in the middle of the sea at late night, the wole lot of them can do anything!!! Eventually i state my stand in the lashing procedures and the foreman was quiet to my explanations. I guessed they know that it is not really a good idea but they wanna smoke me. They were short of the clips required in our standards, so in the end, they got supply from shore, which is another 2hrs wait... End up i left the barge at around 11pm... The barge sailed of the next day morning and due to arrive in another 5day in Vietnam.

So three days later, i am on the plane to Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh) to join the barge the next day.

The interior of the airport looks so much better then the Bangkok one.

Sights outside from my transport.

Took a afternoon flight to Vietnam and was picked up by my client before taking a 1.5hr boat ride to Vung Tau. Staying in Palace hotel, which sounds pretty nice, but sadly its jus some simple 4-star hotel. But i guess it pretty good for a hotel in such a country ba.

Some looks of the hotel. Notice the hotel pic is a photo as i haben step out of the hotel since i got here. Hopefully the heli trip tml is delayed and i got to explore this town tml.

As for now, gonna sleep soon. :)

MAFAN steamboat

Was craving for steamboat on one stormy night that we were searching from Liang Seah street to Geylang and end up at this restuarant.

Forgot to take photos of the shop again. I will try to scan the brochure i got when i return tot singapore.

Bascially they hav some side dishes before u eat. But they are not nice at all...

Multiple sauces which is my fav. I also love Josh , for he always mix very nice sauces for me to eat.

So this is the steamboat. Instead of cooking over normal steamboats, u cooked ur food over this stone pot. Looks like my grining stone at home which my mum used to crush chillis and onions.

They even hav stone cups and bowls, but my hp died before i could take the photos. Anyway, the soup came with various meat. We choosed the pig stomach and black chicken with milk soup. Kinda unique for a steamboat. The stone is suppose to be good for health as they will suck up the bad ions in the meats and stuffs u put in and serve u the best.

Usually u get clear soup and mala soup in one bowl. The soup was very rich even before we cook food in it. But they used spare parts of the black chicken n we didnt see the whole chicken inside. The buffet spread was sufficient. The usual stuffs like beef, lamb, pork belly were there. But the quality was jus alright. Not the fantastic stuffs. A good selections of mushrooms and veges. They were generous with the crab and prawns too.

On the whole, not a bad place to go. But do beware they have very limited seats indoors, so if its raining, like wat happen when we were there, do prepare to wait a bit. Price is $30 - 20 for the special soups and $16 for the basic bone soup or mala soup or both.

Crabby dinner from Josh

Josh came over my place to cook black pepper crabs yesterday. Kinda like a farewell dinner for me. COOL!!!

We went to Giant initially to get crabs, but the crabs there looks small for the price of $6.90 for two. So we try our chance at Sheng Siong @ Taman Jurong. Wrong choice, coz we end up with small n ex crabs. :(

Josh preparing the crabs. I didnt like to kill them expecially when they are struggling while u do it. I learnt from my china uncle who used to rear crabs then, that the best way is to "poke them from behind". lol. Well, it should kill them instantly which will reduce their misery. But i jus couldnt do it.

Lok at his happy face chopping them up! EVIL!!!

Well... only u after u see this, u wouldnt think its evil anymore... lol it looks great!

Well, so u hav seen it, wat about the taste? Actually we cooked this two times. The first time we felt that the meat was undercooked coz the meat is a bit soft. The second time we cooked in butter and more black pepper. In fact lotsa pepper coz i like it real hot. Guessed its a bit over do. Turn out the meat is jus as soft and double the spice. lol. I feels its a big success for Josh expecially its his first time wipping this out!

But Josh! I expect a better one when i come back hor!!! *EviL gRinZ*
