JB trip

JB:
Woke up as early as 6am to get myself prepared for the trip. Travelled to Big bear's house to realised that they are still in bed. lol. Apparantly we scheduled 8am n we were a bit too early. Wahaha. (eager to go JB ma) End up we set off only about 8.30. reached JB around 9.30. Customs were smooth, guess most of singaporeans still sleeping ba. :P Were searching for a restuarant recommended by a JB eateries guide. End up the stall was taken up by another similiar restuarant. So we decided to give it a try. Well... Turns out that it was yucky food. :( Was wondering why there was still a number of people inside? Maybe they do not have tastes as good as ours. *according to xiaomei*

After lousy dimsum at the restuarant, we went to pelangi plaza. Oh btw, the lousy dimsum restuarant is called fook hua restuarant n near the pelangi shopping mall....

Shopping at 10am at pelangi plaza is boring, simpily most stalls are not open. Luckily the print shop xiaomei n big bear looking for is open. After tat we walked walked around the quiet plaza before going to "Jusco"

Jusco is jus down the road approximately 30mins ride. Along the way there is a big "The Store" which i was told they sell cheaps goods but not necessary good goods. lol. Jusco was a huge place, or rather its a long long shopping mall. We didnt walk the whole length thought, since we were jus looking for lunch. End up eating Cha Chan Ting there. *Pictures when i upload from "marksman"* Food there were so so, but the highlight was "Luncheon Meat with cheese on a focaccia bread. Ohh... long time nvr see luncheon meat le. lol The rest of the food seems to normal as compared to this n its delicious too!

A quick walk around the mall (not much walking since xiaomei eagerly waiting to play bowling....) n we set off to er... Dun know the name. Jus another bowling center near jusco. Its a nice place i would say, 36 lanes, with very very tall ceiling. Lanes were in good conditions n the place looks pretty new even though according to big bear, they are around for a couple of years le. Bowling were normal for me even though i managed to spin some good "hooks" off the lanes. But they jus dun come together... T_T But xiaomei managed a 158 top score and big bear a 163! Should hav taken down a photo of xiaomei when she tot she will win the day with a score of 158 before realising big bear come out with a 163 score. lol!

After the wonderful bowling, (hands still feeling the ache after all those spins) we went to a hospital nearby to visit big bear's cousin. First time visiting a hospital in JB n was so glad that i am staying in singapore where the hospital services n facilities were so much better. (No offence to malaysians reading my blog)

After tat we went to Danga bay to look for dinner. Quite a nice place but seems that they lacked some "X-factor" to the place. Dining there is boring too ba. Though they hav two high class restuarant. Somehow i feel dining in JB should be cheap n good n big. lol. Turn out we went back to "taman sentosa" for dinnier. One of the lucky seafood stall owner managed to catch our attentions n we ate cereal prawns, begger chicken, fried kangkong (which xiaomei n big bear dun eat. @_@) and stingray. before that we ate fried penang kway tiao n fried oyster too. All were nice i should say. even the price were friendly! $79rm for all those! I am so going to go in n eat again...

After a heartful dinner, we wanted to return home. But knowing that at this time the customs is sure gonna jam packed, so we decide to watch a movie. End up picking the show, "I am Legend". Super nice show!!! Not shown in singapore yet, so i was surprised its shown there. One of the show that really made me paid full attention thruout the show, n even managed to shocked me quite a few times... (Man... i am pretty timid at times. lol).

We finished the show at around 1130pm. Hurriedly rush to the lorry checkpoint. Big bear's fav check out point. N it really fast! although he made quite a few "merry-go-round" the area. lol.

End up reaching home around 1am. Took a peek at the customs, n was reliefed that big bear know the lorry checkpt if not i guess eariliest 2am reach home. Zzzz....
