Blogging @ this Shanghai rest in suntec.
Ordered the spring onion hainanese chicken, tofu with "bak kwa", "Hong yu chao shou" and vintage fried bee hoon. Ordered the bee hoon coz josh was caving for it in the morning n we missed breakfast.
In the rest~, it's pretty cost coz it's in a dimly litted cool orange theme. Looks rather comfy and inviting.
Food wise, it's just above the 'ok' mark. Most of the time Its because it's quality is much better rather then the taste. Especially the Ginger sauce or the chicken. It's light yet u can taste the full flavour of the Ginger.
Desserts we had red ruby with melon and steam egg. The melon was sweet n the soup was cooling n subtly sweet. But the red ruby was shattered n the chestnut is seperated from the 'reds'. Steam egg was so so... I guessed the Chinatown one is much better.
Maybe could try the dim sum next time.
Dmg done $50 for the two of us...
