On the other hand, my class mate were complaining that she wants to get a lappy but wasnt really willing to spend much on it. She also comment that my laptop was pretty nice. I actually got this idea of selling it to her at a low price so that i could get a new one too. One stone hit two birds huh? I tot that if i would have sold my lappy online, i would priced it $1200 but since i am kinda helping my friend n she would be helping me in another way, i decided to reduced it to $1000. Which i feel its kinda a premium since i got it at $1599 off the $2299 price tag in the market as i paid as a student. And it 6mths old. I could also throw in all the accessorises that i am not using anymore which would add up easily to another $50 bucks. But, as i was discussing it with big bear, another classmate of mine overheard it n expresses he interest in the lappy at $1000. I told him that if the other class mate didn't wanna buy, i would sell it to him.
So, with two buyers on hand, i decided its time to get a powderful lappy to address all my needs. :)
Turn to Lenovo Y510 initially. A T7500 2.2Ghz processor with 3Gb ram n a Geforce 8600 GT (256mb) n 200gb HDD. I power machine at the price of 2499. Was thinking of buying this as i feels the price over spec is great. But i hesitate when i saw the MAC...
Was shopping at IMM looking for this lappy when i chance upon the mac shop. Wasn't really eager for a mac initially as i find that i knew nuts bout mac, n it would be difficult to use without Microsoft stuffs. But there was this sales guy who was very helpful. Brought me thru the uses of a mac n i was amazed. Most importantly, the mac can open 52 windows of the "safari"!!! Try doing that on ur PC n i guaranty ur PC will lag. But the price was sky high.... $3452 for the mac bk pro. This cause much unhappiness over my friends as they are all very annoyed that i couldn't make up my mind... Sorry guys!
Eventually i got over the mac diesease n decided to get a PC. untill my friend told me the Lenovo Y510 dun look that nice, n its a china brand... Man, this greatly decrease its "appealing index". Imagine if i would to hold a mac bk pro outside, the "appealing index" would be 10 "WAH!!!" But if i hold a Lenovo, it would be a 5 "Chey a lenovo, lousy one..." So i decided to select ASUS, coz its business class lappy is pretty neat n they are actually the oem makers of SONY, so it cant go wrong buying it.
