Err... i kinda forgot to tell you all about the various feast i had in between. lol
Coming up is one small stall we ponder upon in Velocity. Sorry for the owner that i didnt got its name and stall name. But they food was pretty nice for the price. They are some where near the basement. If you took "that escalator" that we took, you should be able to find them. The question is... to find "that escalator". lol.
This is the supposedly "Very Juicy" burger and it sure didnt let down on its name. The beef patty was moist and tasty. Topped with two pieces of Bacon to add the saltiness and the egg creates a softness within the burger. But, the whole burger is damn bloody big for ones mouth!!! End up we had to eat them separately.
The "Salted Egg Soft Shell Crab" was nice too. Personally i pretty like salted eggs, or rather i pretty much like every salty stuffs. (OMG, my GP already telling me to cut down on my salt intake... T_T) Back to the crab, its nice too. esp when its served to us piping hot! They had this nice small bar counter on the side of their stall. Which i fine is great for their food coz they serve pretty much "eat and go" stuffs.
After which we went to the top level where there is this "Chicken Pot" stall. In Chinese, its "鸡公波". Funny name right. Actually its is just like a certain claypot style chicken which lotsa sauce. As you eat the chicken, you can add more water, (just water nia loh, i remember that the liquid is clear.) then you eat like steamboat style. They have a few steamboat stuffs in a fridge where you can walk up to pick up additional stuffs, at a price of course.
Here is how it looks like. Personally, i think its quite a rip off la. Kinda like they steal the steamboat concept and paste on their food. lol

Mother's day we went to Peach Garden @ Orchid Country Club. Coz my sis was searching for some decent Dimsum. And to book a place at 2days before mother's day is almost impossible. Luckily i ponder upon this newly opened restaurant by Peach Garden.
Of course that is after i tested their food with Big Bear and Xiaomei at their excutive club loh.
Back-track a bit, we were meeting and didnt have anywhere in mind to go. And this big big bear was still boasting about his wonderful foodventure in Peach Garden and it great place and his colleague "blah blah blah" loh and lastly the UNLIMITED PEKING DUCK serving. So we had to go la. I remembered i was pretty full then. So the two of them got the personal set meals with the UNLIMITED PEKING DUCKS and i jus paid for the peking ducks servings loh. Which is $10 nia, which i find its quite a good deal.
Duck-wise, its not that fantastic. Please try the one at Prima Towers. They are so much better! But of course, you pay more la. And pls hor, UNLIMITED Ducks are only a sole proprietary at Peach Garden hor~ Back to the meal. for $38 per person, i think the food they serve is ok loh. for the price you pay for that kinda food la. In the end, a burnt pocket of $100 in my pocket. T_T
Back to my back-tracked post. Err.. i think its correct la. Back, Back-tracked. lol
At Orchid Country club, we didnt go for the set meals there coz sis didnt like some dishes in between. Hence we ordered ala carte loh. Couldnt really remember wat are the stuffs we ordered but i managed to catch a few stuffs.
Oh, the manager recommended mix roast platter. Being a family who love roast meats and ducks, we all agreed. But sadly, the portions were too darn small. We are all pretty much "monsters" to the petite dish loh.
Notice this photo. What do you think it is?
Initially i tot its sotong. So i gladly put it in my "monsterous" mouth. It turns out to be a surprise that it was actually brinjal! Personally i dun like Bringjal and all other "sticky" stuffs. But this is actually pretty nice. Nice job!
The fish maw, shark BONE and blah blah blah, just without Sharkfins, soup. (Coz we are Anti-Sharkfins harvesters... No la. One of our custoomers is a sharkfin exporter loh. lol) Just that this one is highly recommended by the manager too. It definaltely much much, so many much more, better then the crystal jade one loh. Its soup is silky and dense with a creamy taste. A slight hue of fishyness and thats all. The soup simply warmth our throat for the other food to come in. GREAT!
Wasabi and salted egg double combo prawn. I think the name is actually some thing like tat loh. The manager guarantees satisfaction and he is 50% correct. 50% for the great food served. Notice the unique colourful "tappoles" that you usually see in ice kachang stalls. The chef actually smartly place these tasteless yet "cruncy" stuffs on the dull green prawns to bring out its palatte. 100 marks for his creativity. The other 50% UNsatifaction is actually the size of the portion! "Neng Ber Hay Nia" fill which part of my tummy!?!
Couldnt remember the rest liao but i did remember that actually before all these food we were actually jumping onto the "push-cart" dimsum served in the restaurant. "Har Gao, Siew Mai" and other local dimsums delights were reasonably tasty and well presented. Pardon my lack of photos, coz the table of hungry "ghost" were just to hungry for me to whip out my camera and before i tried to do anything... GONE...

One last feast i had to post before i got chase away by MAC in Taman Jurong is the Sakae Sushi Buffet i had in West Coast Plaza.
Err... Correction, its Sakae Sushi "SHABU SHABU" buffet in West Coast Plaza. Special right?!?
We chance upon the newspaper that day and saw that Sakae at West Coast Plaza is introducing Shabu Shabu buffet on the conveyor belt! Cant remember the jap name for conveyor belt liao. But being a novelty seeker, and some more i was in West Coast Mac then, i simply couldnt let this pass. lol
For promotion purpose, they are giving away a lobster with every OCBC credit card paying customer. There are three type of soup served, Miso, Chicken and Chicken with Sake. OF course we took the sake one la. who so stupid to take the normal one?!? Unless u dun drink la. But liqure in the soup adds a new dimension to the taste loh!
Simply said, (need to go soon le), they serve all sort of jap food. Minus the Sashimis, of course. If got, i think i wouldnt have another chance to enter the premise le. (DOR TUNE LIAO LA!) Sakae sushi, being the more lower and more economy jap food in the market, served the food up to my expectation loh. But i guess the staffs were a bit caught in the change of pace as they seems uncertain and messy over a few orders. I heard i got a friend who paid using normal card yet got the lobster promotion. We were served a place of salmon sashimi even though its not in the list. lol. There were more patrons then the last time i dine here.
On the whole, for $18.90++ i am sure its one of the much more worth while shabu shabu buffet around, given the various jap food served, sushi, tempura, tori karaage, and chawamushi etc.
Go try it! Before they close shop. Or maybe increase in price!
Oh, i believe they have a promo if u walk in before 1830, u get additional 10% discount! SWEET~
k guys, got to sigh off liao. Till i dine again~ Time for another Chicken Munchees and Sprite liao. lol
