Posting Part 2 coz i had the photos with me. So might as well...
Part one was at Prima Tower on Sunday. Will talk about it when i got the pictures.
Today we went "The Melt" @ Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Initially wanted to go to "The Line" at Shang Ri La one, but they reservation was full. They had this "Flash Your Age" promotion that if u dine exactly on ur bdae, u could get the discount equilevant to your age! Which is quite a good deal, considering that there are alot of KiaSu people trying to make full use of the advantage, celebrating ours mum/dads and even grandpa n grandma. lol. Guessed the restuarant learnt their lesson and restrict the number of diners per day loh....
Over here there is the UOB 4 for 3 discount which i find its not bad loh.
Here is the entrance. IF i am not wrong, i took the same picture, 2/3 yrs ago loh. lol.
Without much further ADO, i shall post all the food that went into my tummy...
Cold dishes including the famous Lobster, Oysters and snow crabs. Mmmm... The oysters were not that fresh since i could taste the fishy smell. I remember last time we dine at The Line, the oysters were pretty fresh n fishnessless.
Next up, i had salad, sashimi, smoke salmon and sushi. In the whole, we loved the salad bar as they have lotsa of stuffs to go with the salad. We are so spoilt for choices. Even though we should leave it for better/costlier food, we simply couldnt resist loh...
After all the appertisers and starters, its time to wack the mains... The problem is, i am pretty full by then! No choice i had to take it slowly and start with the roast beefs and lambs and the indian food. The roast beef were as good as those i had on the DSV! Only prob is.... on the DSV, its free!?! Imagine that! The tantoori chicken and prawn were decent but the salmon was a bit salty n not appertising.
After which i had some cooked food. Like salted fish fried rice, "kor lok your", beef stew, beef steak, garlic naan, curry chicken, sotong with something inside and most amazingly, brinjal with pork floss on top. The brinjal/pork floss combo looks tempting. But too bad they were cold n the brinjal no longer crunchy.
After this, i realised that the rest were already on their desserts. Mum was not that hungry for food as she had her lunch supplement which is suppose to make her filling for dinner. T_T. Then my 2nd sis complained that my da jie bought dumplings for her right before dinner n hence she did not feel hungry...
So i quickly go grab my fav roast beef n lamb before i wack the desserts.
And bread pudding with crunchy choco/strawberry bits.
Desserts were waffles with vanilla ice-cream.
After which we went a little frantic photo taking and there are some shots. My Sony $199 camera actually did quite well under low light. :)
Before the waiteress brought the complimentry cake for mum. :)
Happy Birthday Mum!
Boy! Was she happy when the cake came. :)
:ast;y, a family photo for us. The staff actually used a camera and took one photo and put into a small envelop that show the various signatures and our photo. Quite a nice gesture i tot. ;)
With this, i end my post. Should find some time to grab those photos we took at Prima tower and blog them. :)
